IN THE BEGINNING...

Pull up a chair, grab a warm cookie, some cold milk and I will tell you the story of how this came to be.
I have always had a great passion for baking. That being said, simply because I had a passion did not mean I was good at it. Interestingly enough my very first memory of "solo baking" (that was without the help of my mother, whom in her own right is a wonderful baker and cake decorator). I was 8 years old and I wanted to bake chocolate chip cookies. I followed the recipe on the back of the package. However, to my chagrin at the time, I did not know the difference between TBS (tablespoon) and Tsp (teaspoon) thereupon pouring one full tablespoon of salt into my cookie mixture. Unbeknownst to me, I proudly shared my freshly baked perfectly round salt-filled cookies with my family. At the first bite, Auntie Joy with a sweet smile simply said "they will get better and better the more you make them". 
Since that long-ago day, I have proudly learned the difference between tablespoon and teaspoon and my Aunt's words of encouragement became true. I now make a delicious cookie!
